Terms & Conditions of Participation

 

  • Start Time : 07.50 am
  • Start Point: The former city hall of Thymiana
  • Route: Through the traditional settlement of Thymiana and Fragkovouni
  • Finish Point: Start Point after  5km
  • Terms of Participation:18+
  • Award: A medal and a certification is given to the first 3 Women  and Men 
  • The first Athletes in each category (Men & Women) are awarded with a trophy.
  • The rest of the participants that will finish the race will be given a participation certificate 
  • Sign -Up: Until Sunday 18th of August 2024

  • Registration fee: Registration fee is 15€ and includes
    • Electroning Timing 
    • Participation Number with runners name 
    • T-Shirt with the race logo in your size (depends on availability )
    • Certification for participation
    • Medal for participation 




SETTLEMENT OF REGISTRATION FEES
Right after you submit your registration form you can settle your registration fees ONLY by debit/credit card.(Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express) 



ACCIDENT  INCURANCE

  • Every runner participates in the event at his/her own free will.
  • Every runner participates in the event on his/her own responsibility and bears full responsibility as to his/her fitness condition and ability to participate.
  • Participants in the “Chios Half Marathon" understands and agrees that there is a health risk associated with group activities. They choose to register for this Event with full understanding of the risk, and in this framework,Health Athlete Association of Chios and the Municipality bears no responsibility in case of any potential damage of their health.
  • It is recommended that participants have undergone a recent medical examination  before the race.
  • The organizers will not ask for medical certificates for any athlete, since all participants compete under their own responsibility and minors under the responsibility of their guardians.


SUPPORT STATIONS

A bottle of water  will be available to all participants at the start and finish as well as at runners support stations along the route.

 

TIME LIMIT
The time limit for finishing the race is one hour ending 09:00.
Attention: Athletes who may continue their effort beyond the specified time limit, must know that they are running or walking at their own risk. Traffic police will hand over the racing route gradually, after the last runner has passed through the support stations within the set time limit. 

ELECTRONIC TIMING AND RESULTS
Electronic timing will be carried out by a timing company. For this reason runners should wear the timing chip they receive together with their participation number from the registration center.
Attention: Your time will not be recorded and you will not be included in the results if you do not have the timing chip placed behind your number or in your shoe and do not pass over the timing mats.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations of entries are only accepted upon written request and only until August 4, 2024. In case of cancellation, the participation fee is returned to the applicant, after deductions of 5 euros for administrative reasons. Any refunds are made approximately one month after the race.After this date, no cancellation requests will be accepted.  By registering for the races, it means that you also accept the cancellation policy
