It was 2019 when a group of people who loved mountain running participated in a mountain race in Rhodope. This race was the trigger for the search for old Tsopani trails at the foot of Mount Pigani in Karyes, Chios. Under the stones that had covered these paths were so many stories well hidden in the oblivion of time... A decision to bring these paths back to life was enough to start it all!

With effort, manual labor, and a lot of passion to achieve a goal, tons of stone and materials were removed that covered an entire era. Now, with the contribution of volunteers and the "Friends of Chios Paths" association, 40 kilometres of a network of paths are accessible to all those who love nature, the mountains and sport. A picture is worth a thousand words, some say. So let's let the pictures speak for themselves.
